Thomas Partey, now former Arsenal footballer, is facing prosecution over allegations of raping two women and sexually assaulting one other.
The Ghana international’s contract with the Gunners expired this summer and was not renewed after both sides failed to agree on terms.
Partey now a free agent, as per Sky Sports, is charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault by London’s Metropolitan Police.
The report said the charges relate to three women and the alleged offences allegedly took place between 2021 and 2022.
It adds that the 32-year-old was first arrested in July 2022, but he was not named at that time while investigations were ongoing.
As it stands, he is due to appear at London’s Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, the publication wrote.
Recall that Partey spent five seasons at Arsenal after being signed in 2020 for £45m.
