The half-brother of golf star Tiger Woods has been arrested for threatening to blow up the Department of Economic Security building in Phoenix in US on Thursday, according to police.
Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump said a call came into the DES front desk about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday from a caller who stated he had a bomb and was going to blow up the building.
Front desk employees notified management and building security who called police.
The building, located at 1824 E. McKinley St., was evacuated.
During the police search, Earl Woods admitted he was the one who called in the threat and that it was a joke.
Earl Woods was booked into the MCSO jail for one count of use of an economic communication device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass.
