Late Okeke was found dead in his off-campus hostel on Sunday.
According to report, no suicide note was found in his room.
But insinuations are rife that the deceased was having difficult times with his finances occasioned by recession.
It was said that he didn’t attend lecture for two weeks due to financial difficulties.
“He was popular in the department, because people saw him as a nice guy. He made people laugh and he was one of the best players in the department’s and faculty’s football teams.
“Last week, Tobechukwu called one of our classmates to beg them for money. We don’t know the reason he committed suicide, because he was doing very well in his studies,” Elizabeth Agwu, the deceased’s classmates said.
