Suspected bandits have killed two Bureau de Change operators at Kurdula District in Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
It happened on Sunday when the gunmen stormed the Durusar Gawo currency market firing gunshots indiscriminately.
The gun attack left one one of the currency dealers dead on the spot while the other casualties died at Dogon Dutse Hospital where he was rushed to.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ahmad Rufa’i in a statement he released narrated that the attack happened around midday.
He explained that the command has commenced investigations into the incident and intensified deployments to vulnerable border communities in the area.
