Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murders of two princes of Ajiran community in Eti-Osa local government area of Lagos State.

Princes Sherrif Isola Salami and Ademola Akinloye, son of the incumbent Ajiran of Agungi, Oba Tijani Akinloye.

Prince Akinloye(pictured above) was assassinated in broad daylight around Chevron Drive at Lekki in 2024 while Salami was killed earlier in 2023 in similar version.

Those involved in their killings: Sefiu Fatai alias Fabo, 40, and Yusuf Ismail also known as Baraka, have been arrested.

This is according to the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Olohundare Jimoh, who said the suspects confessed to the crime and claimed they were hired to commit the crime by a businessman, Alhaji Hammed Akanbi.

The CP disclosed all this at a press conference on Thursday where he declared Akanbi wanted.

Jimoh who described the wanted businessman as the Chief Executive Officer, Amtachek and Amrok Markham Company alleged that Akanbi paid the suspects the sum of N2 million, with N500,000 given to each of the principal actors after the first murder.

He said other benefits including opportunities to travel abroad were promised the gang of killers, adding that five of them had earlier been charged to court following their alleged implication in other crimes, and three currently at large.

“No stone will be left unturned in ensuring that all those connected with these heinous crimes are arrested and brought to justice,” he said.
