Investigation has been launched into the death of a businessman, Onyejekwe Izuchukwu, in a hotel room in Ikoyi area of Lagos.
Izuchukwu was based in Texas, USA, and was in Nigeria for business deals when his death occurred on June 9, 2024.
The 62-year-old who checked into the hotel on June 6 was met dead in the room by a hotel worker on cleaning mission on the fateful day.
His death, according to Punchng, citing the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin has become a subject of probe.
“Izuchukwu was found lifeless on the floor of the hotel room. A doctor confirmed him dead and his (Izuchukwu) corpse has been deposited in a morgue in Ikeja for autopsy. The command has commenced an investigation into the case,” the publication quoted Hundeyin as saying.
