Police on Thursday foiled a protest rally by car dealers against the ban on vehicles importation through land borders.
Under the umbrella of the Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria, report said the body had approached the police authority for protest permit across major cities but the request was declined.

Recall the House of Representatives asked the Federal Government to suspend the ban on importation of vehicles through land borders in Nigeria.
The lawmakers also mandated the Committees on Governmental Affairs and Customs and Excise to ensure the suspension of the ban and report back to the House within six weeks for further legislative input.
