The police have launched investigation into the vile act of three of his trigger-happy men seen in a recent viral video, with President Muhammadu Buhari’s praise singer, Dauda Kahutu Rarara.

Rarara is a Hausa musician famed for his campaign jingle, “masu gudu su gudu” for Buhari in 2015.

In the said video, his escorts were seen opening the door of the SUV he rode in and firing gunshots to herald his presence.

The act didn’t sit well with many online, with several commentators trolling the police.

It has all received the attention of the security authorities, with the three erring officers facing the consequence of their improprieties.

This is according to the Force spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement he released.

It read in part; “The NPF has condemned the unprofessionalism and act of indiscipline displayed by the policemen caught in the video that is trending where some policemen were seen firing shots to rub the ego and hype a musician in the Kano city recently.

“The policemen have been identified and arrested. They will be brought to the Force Headquarters for interview and necessary disciplinary action. Such an act is unpolice and cannot be condoned in any way.

“So, we appreciate the concern of well-meaning Nigerians and groups who have forwarded the video to us for our attention and action. We will continue to adopt and embrace innovations and ideas that can propel productive turnarounds in the Police.”
