A desperate search is on for a woman who allegedly abandoned her young daughter at a child protection centre in December 2024 and has not returned or made contact since.
The woman, identified as Zainab Bridget Gbaa Solomon Nyoo, is being sought by the SECHILD Centre, which says it has been caring for her daughter, Favour, since she was left at the facility.
According to a social media appeal by Kawan Aondofa Anjora, Favour’s mother has neither visited nor contacted the child since her alleged abandonment.
The centre said it has continued to provide Favour with food, diapers, therapy, medication and other essential care, despite the prolonged absence of her mother.
However, the organisation is now urgently seeking the public’s help to locate Nyoo.
Anyone who knows her whereabouts or has information that could lead to her being found has been urged to contact SECHILD Centre or send a private message to the organisation.
The appeal also urged members of the public to share the information widely, stressing that someone, somewhere, may know where Favour’s mother is.
“Help us find Favour’s mother. It is urgent,” the appeal stated.
