Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde has said those facing investigation for encroaching on the state government lands are the ones calling him, “land grabber.”
Makinde said this during a media chat on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State on Saturday.
“Some people have described me as a land grabber.
“Ironically, those under investigation for land grabbing are the ones making these accusations,” the governor said.
He equally clarified report that he was opposed to the tax reforms of President Bola Tinubu, a suggestion that stemmed from the fact that he announced the opposition of the National Economic Council, NEC.
“I was asked to explain our decision to withdraw the bills for consultation, but some people chose to focus on the messenger rather than the message,” he explained.
