A wife, Sarah Ayinde, has set her husband, a special constable with the Ogun State Police Command, Abidemi Ayinde, ablaze.
The incident occurred in Iperu area of the state.
As per Punchng, citing an unnamed source, it occurred on December 12 in a fight between the couple.
“There is an incident in Iperu. A police constabulary was set on fire by his wife. They argued, and the wife set him on fire. He is currently hospitalised,” the publication quoted the source as saying.
“The suspect, Sarah Ayinde, remains at large, and efforts are underway to apprehend her. The division’s crime branch is conducting further investigations into the matter,” spokesperson for the state Police Command, Omolola Odutola, also told Punchng.
