A 28-year-old woman has been shot dead in Benin, the Edo State capital by gunmen two months after she wedded.
The deceased simply identified as Divine Ken(pictured with the widower) was killed in her apartment at a shopping complex which equally doubled as a residential building at Uselu area in Benin around 11pm on Tuesday.
Reports have it that armed robbers had robbed the complex a week earlier only to return on Tuesday after a tenant made the private security guard to open the gate on the premise that he was going out to purchase some items.
After gaining entrance into the building, it was said that the robbers tied up the security guard and broke into shops and rooms.
Somewhere along the line, they met Divine Ken who was the only one in the building besides the security guard in one of the rooms, and opened fire on her, and killed her.
It was gathered that the tenant who went out of the building before the robbery incident has been arrested.
The deceased wedded on August 29, 2015, less than two months ago.
