One woman simply identified as Mbayegh, has killed her lover’s two daughters in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 6, 2026, in Kaffe area of Zaki-Biam.
Report said Mbayegh, a middle-aged woman, had visited the residence of her lover, identified as Aondoyima Ierkwagh, with the hopes to spend time together but Ierkwagh refused despite her pleas.
The man’s wife, according to those familiar with the incident had travelled to Taraba State for farming activities.
It was further said that Ierkwagh’s rebuff ired Mbayegh who was of the view that it was due to him having another woman with him.
While the man later locked his two daughters in a round hut before entering another hut, sources stated that the scorned woman returned to set the hut where the two daughters were sleeping ablaze.
“The incident happened around 6.00am. She set the hut on fire, burning Ierkwagh’s daughters beyond recognition,” sources said.
