Abdullahi Sani Abacha, the son of the late military ruler, Sani Abacha, has passed away.
The deceased’s sister, Fatimah Gumsu Abacha-Buni, and wife of Yobo State governor, Mai Mala Buni announced the family’s loss of a member on Saturday via her verified Instagram page.
Late Abdullahi, according to distraught Gumsu, died in his sleep at the family’s residence in Nelson Mandela Street, Abuja.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun (Surely, we belong to Allah and verily to Him do we return). I lost my younger brother Abdullahi Sani Abacha. He died in his sleep. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him jannatul firdaos (paradise), Ameen. Please include him in your prayers,” the Yobe first lady wrote.
The funeral prayers is underway at the National Mosque in Abuja at 4 p.m.
