It has emerged that thirteen parents of the two hundred and nineteen female students of Government Secondary School, Chibok, who were abducted by dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram a year ago, have died of trauma related disease.
This revelation was made known by Edith Yassin(pictured right), a member of Bring Back Our Girls, a campaign group fighting for the girls’ release from captivity. 
According to her, information made available by an umbrella body of the Chibok Community in Abuja, revealed that thirteen of the parents of the two hundred and nineteen female students who are still held in captive have died from hypertension, high blood pressure and trauma related disease.
She said, ” We have it on good authority that thirteen of the girls’ parents have died from hypertension, high blood pressure and trauma related disease.
“We hope this government will rescue them before handling over on May 28, 2015, so that more will not die while waiting for their daughters’ return.”
