A former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Dumebi Kachikwu, has imputed bribery to those who newly adopted the party as the platform on which opposition leaders averse to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would derail his reelection.

Prominent among them are: former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, ex-governors Nasir El-Rufai, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola and former Senate president, David Mark.

ADC adoption by those opposition figures has not sat well with Kachikwu as he has been accusing them of hijacking the party.

He maintained this stance on Thursday in Abuja while speaking to newsmen, imputing endeavours to bribe the party’s chairmen with N20m each to them.

“They are offering some of the state chairmen as much as N20,000,000 to resign their positions, which goes to show that their intentions are not honourable,” Kachikwu alleged.

“In the last two weeks, they have been boasting, insulting, and saying they want to chase President Bola Tinubu from office. The question I always ask people around me is, at the end of all the insults being passed on to the president, what next?” he equally said.
