Actor, author and broadcaster, Adebayo Faleti has died on Sunday at age, 86.
Faleti, who was also a poet and a Yoruba translator, was a pioneer of the first television station in Africa, Western Nigeria Television (WNTV), Ibadan.

The deceased wrote and acted in any films, among them; Thunderbolt, Magun (2001), Afonja (1 & 2) (2002), Basorun Gaa (2004), and Sawo-Segeri (2005).
A recipient of many awards, including the Order of the Niger (OON), he translated Nigeria’s National Anthem from English to Yoruba, and has published a dictionary containing the formal or official use of Yoruba names.
