Gov. Udom made this call in Government House, Uyo on Tuesday night, during a meeting he had with President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick.

Pinnick was in Uyo to make arrangements for the match.

The NFF President shared the governor’s sentiment at another forum in Lagos on Wednesday saying: “The only thing we need now are prayers. Everyone should go on their knees so that the Eagles can qualify for the World Cup.”

The Super Eagles top Group B of the African qualifiers with maximum six points from two games. The team’s closest rival is African champions Cameroon, who has two points.
