Amount of food and drinks that can kill you

Too much of everything is bad, so they say.
Asap Science, the Youtube channel that has bias for science issues, in its new video, has revealed the popular food and drinks that can kill you if you have too much of them – or at the very least make you very sick indeed.
According to the video, while you would have to eat 1,100 oranges to start overdosing on vitamin C, it takes a lot less nutmeg and alcoholic shots for your body to become poisoned.

It says eating 480 bananas is an overdose of potassium and is poisonous to your body.
So also it is possible to die from drinking too much water as it takes drinking six litres of it in a very short space of time.
You can die by drinking too much water but it takes a lot of the clear liquid: 6 litres in fact. Meanwhile, a 70kg person would have to drink 70 cups of coffee before overdosing on caffeine

These can be brought on by eating as little as two teaspoons of the festive spice. Most people know that green potatoes – and by extension, green crisps – should not be eaten but fewer know exactly why.

Potatoes turn green when they have been exposed to the sun, and the colour is due to the presence of chlorophyll, which isn’t toxic. However the colour suggests that poisonous solanine is also present, which can make humans sick or even kill them.

One green potato will likely cause you harm, but eating 25 odd-coloured potatoes could be enough to kill you. If you’ve ever swallowed a cherry pit, then don’t panic, but you’ve probably ingested cynanide.

The videos reveal that biting into a cherry pit and swallowing between one and two ground-up pits would be lethal. The video is based on scientific research and evidence.

And while the amounts listed above could kill you, they could also just make you very ill indeed. Either way, it’s not a good idea to risk it.
