After days of uncertainty and anxiety, there is finally relief as Arije Abidemi Ajibola, the Ibadan man whose disappearance sparked public concern, has been found.
The wife of Arije Abidemi Ajibola, Olajumoke Arije, announced the development in a Facebook post on Wednesday, thanking Nigerians and everyone who helped share the missing-person alert.
The news brings an end to a tense search that began after Arije left home for work but failed to arrive at his destination or return home.
Raising the alarm earlier, Olajumoke had disclosed that her husband left for work but never got to his office. She said he was last seen around 7:27 a.m. and that efforts to reach him failed as his two phones were switched off.
She had also appealed to members of the public for information, explaining that her husband was not someone who would leave without informing her or anyone close to him. She added that he was driving a gold Nissan Primera when he was last seen around Dikat/Ajeigbe area of Ibadan.
Breaking her silence after his discovery, Olajumoke wrote: “My husband Arije Abidemi Ajibola has been found. Thank you all for the post.”
She, however, pleaded for patience as the family works to stabilise the situation.
“Please, we need to stabilise things at the moment. Kindly share this so many people can have peace of mind. More info will be shared later,” she added.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and how he was found remain unclear as the family has yet to release further details.
