A woman has raised the alarm over the disappearance of her husband, Arije Ajibola, who reportedly went missing in Ibadan, Oyo State, three days ago.

Ajire Ajibola was said to have been on his way to work when he suddenly became unreachable.

According to his wife, Ajibola had told her on the phone that he would get to his destination within 30 minutes, but he never arrived.

The worried wife said her husband had always believed strongly in Nigeria and insisted on returning to the country despite her pleas that they should remain abroad.

She said Ajibola chose Ibadan because he believed the city was peaceful and safe.

The woman said she eventually followed her husband back home, adding that she was now appealing to residents of Ibadan to help find him.

Describing Ajibola as a gentle and calm man, she said the family had been thrown into anxiety as his disappearance entered its third day.

The mystery deepened after his vehicle, a gold Nissan Primers, was reportedly found at UMC Oke-Ado on the second day, with the car key still inside.

However, the family is yet to establish how the vehicle got there or identify the person who dropped it.

His two mobile phones have also remained switched off since his disappearance, further heightening concerns over his whereabouts.

The family is appealing to anyone with useful information about Ajibola’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in locating him.

His wife has particularly appealed to residents of Ibadan to help find her husband and reunite him with his family.
