Several players of Arsenal FC fell sick in China and were ruled out of the friendly game between the premiership side, and Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The game which ended 3-2 on penalties in favour of Arsenal saw the Gunners playing without their key players.

According to the Manager, Arsene Wenger, several players suffered food poisoning.

The Frenchman said the likes of striker Olivier Giroud and captain Per Mertesacker were not part of the game due to food poisoning while new signing Sead Kolasinac also had to come off before the break, and Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott substituted because they were sick.

“Ramsey finished the game, but Walcott, Kolasinac, Mertesacker, Giroud, they all had a little food poisoning,” Wenger said at the post match press conference.
