Four thousand police officers, and not less than one hundred and thirty-five personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will provide security before and during the wedding fatiha of Halimat Babangida, daughter of former military President, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and Auwal Lawal Abdullahi, on Friday in Minna, Niger State.
The watertight security that was announced by Niger State Police Commissioner Zubairu Mu’azu and Mr. Philip Ayuba, Commandant, NSCDC in the state was part of plans for the wedding of Halimat and businessman Abdullahi, who holds the traditional title of Sarkin Sudan Gombe.
Halimat is IBB and his late wife, Maryam’s second daughter, and their last child. She was born while the military ruler presided over the affairs of the country at Dodan Barracks in Lagos.
