In a spine-chilling incident, a female police officer attached to Enugu State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Cecelia Ezeillo(pictured), was shot dead at her residence by unidentified assailants on Tuesday.

The deceased woman simply identified as Sgt. Helen was said to have returned home from her duty post at Enugu Government House when her killer stormed her residence.
It was said that late Sgt. Helen called her fiance on phone informing him of the presence of the gunmen in the house but she was killed before he arrived the scene.
“She had left the Government House, after the day’s job and was dropped off at home. At home, she had removed her clothes and dropped her service pistol before her attackers struck.
“They were still talking on the phone when the gunmen attacked and shot her,” a Government House source was quoted as saying in several report.
