Former Super Eagles coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, has dragged one of his wives, Mrs. Abiona Onigbinde, before a Customary Grade C Court sitting in Mapo, Ibadan.

Chief Onigbinde filed a divorce suit against Abiona accusing the latter of stubbornness and violence.
The Modakeke chief, who is married to multiple wives and the defendant appeared before president of the court, Chief Odunade Adewuyi.
And when Abiona was asked by the court to confirm or deny the allegation of violence and bad behaviour levelled against her by her spouse and if she approved the dissolution of the marriage, she answered in the negative, adding that she was surprised that the 79-year-old coach made move to divorce her.
She explained that Chief Onigbinde’s elder brother and one of his (Onigbinde’s) sons had brokered peace between them.
Subsequently, the court adjourned hearing in the case and ordered the defendant to maintain peace with the complainant.
Chief Onigbinde coached Super Eagles at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Before then, in 1984, he took Nigeria to the final of the 1984 Africa Nations Cup.
