A final year student of Business Education in Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, Chinedu Linus, has been killed while fighting off armed robbers, who robbed him of his money, laptop, handsets and other valuables.

Linus was killed on Saturday at Lucky City Hostel in Ishieke campus of the University where he lived.
His killers numbering about four, stormed the hostel around 1:30 am during a heavy downpour.
Reports said the gunmen jumped into the hostel compound through a ladder which they used and climbed in when the students were fast asleep.
The students woke up when they heard the robbers asking Late Linus for money and his laptop.
It was said that Late Linus reached out for a rod to engage the gunmen in a battle. He was shot dead by the gunmen, who also robbed all the students and other tenants in the hostel.
