A female shopper was on Sunday evening abducted at a market in Edo State.
The woman whose identity has not been officially made public as at the time of filing this report was abducted at the popular vegetable market off Airport Road in Benin City the Edo State capital.
Her armed abductors had made a failed attempt to kidnap the woman’s husband at the market but he stood his ground before they turned to his spouse.
The couple was in the market located near former Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Tom Ikimi’s residence with their children.
According to report in general circulation the gunmen shot at the two tyres of the couple’s vehicle in which the husband was in, waiting for his partner to conclude shopping.
An enthusiast who videoed the moment after the attack and posted online said in the commentary: “Today, for the first time, I experience kidnapping in my life.
“I saved the woman’s children today. This is me. It happened in front of me. We were both buying something in the same place, at the vegetable market. This is me, I have bruises. This is my legs.”
The moment of the abduction was also captured by a CCTV(pictured above) which clip has equally gone viral.
