Former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Baba Tela, has lost his son, Mustapha, and daughter, Ummi, to a road crash.
Mustapha and Ummi’s deaths occurred on Saturday along Bauchi-Azare road where the vehicle they were in was involved in a ghastly accident.
The siblings, according to report died on the spot while other occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and are receiving treatment.
The deceased have been buried in line with Islamic rites with their funeral prayer held at the Bauchi Emir’s Palace.
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in a condolence message said he received the news with profound shock and sadness, describing the incident as a painful tragedy that has cast a shadow of grief over the state.
