Report that immediate past Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has concluded arrangement to dump the All Progressives Congress for the Allied People’s Movement, has drawn his reaction.

Recall that Adelabu resigned from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet to contest for APC governorship ticket in Oyo State but lost to Senator Sharafadeen Alli.

Report making the rounds that he is in bed with APM and is planning to decamp to the opposition party has excited response from him via a statement his media aide, Femi Awogboro issued.

The former minister said he remained a committed member of the APC and continued to hold the President and National Leader of the party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the highest regard as his political mentor.

He urged members of the public to disregard the speculation, describing it as an attempt to mislead the public and create unnecessary confusion.

“Consequently, the public is urged to disregard the false narrative linking Mr Ajiboye Akande or Chief Adebayo Adelabu to any impending defection to the APM. The rumour is baseless, mischievous, and clearly intended to create confusion where none exists,” the statement read partly.
