Hon. Nura Umar Bungudu, Chairman of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, has been abducted.
The abduction of Hon. Nura Umar Bungudu occured on Thursday night at his residence in Zango area, less than 20 kilometres from the state capital, Gusau.
He was abducted by gun-bearing bandits who overpowered his security details: killed four persons, two policemen guarding his residence and two vigilantes before whisking him away alongside his wife and children.
Report in general circulation said the abducted chairman’s children have been rescued while efforts are ongoing to ensure the abductees’ regained their freedom unharmed.
