Moniepoint customers can now check whether they qualify for the Federal Government’s ₦50,000 emergency relief support through the bank’s USSD platform.
The bank announced that customers could dial *5573*27# using their registered phone numbers and select the option to check their eligibility for the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
Those confirmed as beneficiaries will be guided on how to accept the offer and receive the money directly into their Moniepoint accounts at no extra cost.
The intervention, coordinated by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, is aimed at providing financial assistance to vulnerable households struggling with economic hardship.
OrijoReporter had reported on Tuesday that the Federal Government had commenced payments to selected beneficiaries under the programme.
Moniepoint said it was among the financial institutions selected by the government to facilitate the disbursement.

The bank explained that beneficiaries were selected through government verification processes involving validated national identity records and the National Social Register.
It added that the exercise would be conducted in phases across the country, warning that not all customers would qualify or receive the payment at the same time.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Microfinance Bank, Babatunde Olofin, said the bank was committed to making the intervention accessible, secure and seamless for eligible customers.
He urged customers to use only the bank’s official USSD channel to check their status and access the funds.
The bank stressed that beneficiaries would not be required to pay any fee, submit additional documents or engage third parties to receive the support.
Customers seeking clarification were advised to contact Moniepoint’s customer service team or the NERSI helpdesk.
The bank also said its extensive financial services network, including Point-of-Sale terminals spread across the country’s 774 local government areas, would support the government’s efforts to reach beneficiaries.
