The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been thrown into mourning following the death of its Enugu State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Franklin Agbakoba.

The sad development was announced in a statement issued on Friday by the FRSC Deputy Corps Commander in charge of Enugu State Operations, Kyrian Okolo.

According to the statement, Franklin Agbakoba died on Thursday, July 30, at the Niger Foundation Hospital in Enugu, where he had been receiving treatment.

His remains have been deposited at the Eastern Medical Centre, Enugu.

Before his death, the late commander was widely praised for strengthening collaboration among security agencies and championing road safety across Enugu State.

The FRSC did not reveal the cause of his death or provide further details.
