The heath condition of veteran Fuji music artiste, Alhaji Kollington Ayinla took a turn for the worse in the past few days, leading to his relocation to his home town, Ilota in Ilorin South local government area of Kwara State, orijoreporter can reveal.
Kollington who has been sick for sometime and has been in and out of hospital admitted in an interview with a print celebrity magazine in December last year that he was afflicted by strange illness.
A Lagos resident, ‘Kebe N Kwara’ as he is fondly called has a bus stop named after him at Alagbado in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area where he resides.
For sometime now, ill-health has become a recurrent theme in his life to the point that he put up part of his house at Alagbado for sale before Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola and his Osun State counterpart, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola came to his rescue.
It was learnt that the Fuji singer had also sold his old fish depot (which he has owned for over 25 years), situated along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, Lagos in other to treat an initial ailment.
Kollington is one of the most popular Fuji artistes who shot to fame in the late 80s and early 90s with several hit albums like ‘Kasabubu’, ‘Ijo Yoyo’ and ‘Kaya’.
