Super Falcons Media Officer, Gracious Akujobi, has died suddenly of an undisclosed cause in Abuja on Thursday.
The 38-year-old hailed from Owerri and was in the Super Falcons camp at the Parkview Hotel in Zone 1 with the players in preparation for the All Africa Games Female Football qualifiers when she fell sick, and was rushed to General Hospital, Maitama but died on arrival at the hospital.
Gracious Akujobi was at various times media officer of the U-17 Women National Team, and that of Super Falcons, and was with the team at the just-concluded 7th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Canada.
