A High Court judge in Borno State, Justice Haruna Mshelia, has been kidnapped alongside his wife, driver and orderly.
Their abductors said to be Boko Haram terrorists, abducted them on Monday afternoon along the Buratai-Buni-gari road.
As per report, it happened while Justice Mshelia was returning to Maiduguri, where he serves at the Borno State High Court.
The account making the rounds has it that the four travelling in a car were ambushed, kidnapped and led into the Sambisa Forest by the kidnappers.
“The kidnappers split themselves into two, and the first set, who emerged from the bush, and tried to stop the judge’s vehicle but the driver outmanoeuvred them.
“However, the abductess ran out of luck, and were at their wit’s end when they met another set in the front who barricaded the road,” report said.
Abduction in such manner is said to be a routine in the area while the State Police Command spokesman, ASP Nahum Daso, has confirmed the latest in a series.
