Kikaose Ebiye Onyibe, daughter of former Commissioner in Delta State, Mr. Magnus Ebiye-Onyibe, has died at age 19.
A second year law undergraduate at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, the deceased who was fondly called Kika by her parents passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, following an unsuccessful surgery to remove a ruptured appendix at Gold Cross Hospital on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Reports said leading to her death, Kika had been complaining of lower abdominal pain since October last year and had been visiting a General Practitioner in Birmingham, UK.
It said on her arrival in Nigeria on Tuesday, April 11, it was discovered that her appendix had ruptured and immediate surgery in Nigeria was recommended by doctors who warned that Kika’s life would be in grave danger if she were to be flown back to UK for the procedure.
But the surgery was not successful as Kika passed away.
The deceased would have marked her 19th birthday on April 29.
