Kitan Oyesiku, a veteran female broadcaster has been found dead at her home alongside her security guard.
Kitan Oyesiku and the guard’s deaths were reported to the police on Sunday by her neighbours.
The deceased ex-broadcaster retired from the services of the Ogun State Television.
The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command and a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi who confirmed the incident said police have launched investigation into the context of their deaths.
Babaseyi said a resident of Iyana Agodo Village on suspicion of some criminal activities in Oyesiku’s residence had raised the alarm and brought the matter to the knowledge of police at Owode Egba Division prompting officers to visit the scene where preliminary assessment revealed signs of forced entry and horrific crime.
According to him, the corpse of the security guard was discovered within the security post, while the body of Oyesiku was found inside her apartment, with her vehicle missing.
