Rather, the rumour making the rounds had it that all the Senator representing Kogi West was after is for another aspirant on the platform of the PDP, Captain Idris Wada to pick him as his running mate.
Melaye in a statement by his media aide, Gideon Ayodele, rubbished the claim and took a swipe at Wada.
He said, “Capt. Idris Wada lost the last election as a sitting governor and it makes no sense that Dino Melaye, a man with better idea and clearer vision, will queue behind such an aspirant.”
The PDP governorship primary is slated for September 3 ahead of the major election scheduled for November 16.
