A Canadian, Joshua Stevens, has killed his Briton friend, Unais Gomes, in Peru where they went on tourism after they drank mind-bending jungle potion and saw vision he was sleeping with his wife.
Police said 26-year-old Gomes(pictured above) was attacked by Stevens(pictured right), after they drank the plant brew ayahuasca at a spiritual retreat.
The incident happened on Wednesday near the jungle city of Iquitos where the pair took part in a traditional ayahuasca ceremony, and drank the ayahuasca vine and the chacruna shrub boiled water, two plants that contains the natural hallucinogen dimethyltryptamine – an illegal drug in the UK.
Reports said Stevens stabbed Gomes to death after hallucinating about the latter having an affair with his wife(Stevens’ wife) .
