The transfer of John Mikel Obi to Chinese Super League side, Tianjin TEDA, has been confirmed on social media.

A picture of the Super Eagles captain shaking hands with a Tianjin club official and holding the club’s shirt was shared on Chinese website Webo.
Mikel thus joined the list of ex-Premier League stars that include former Chelsea players, Brazilian-born Oscar, and Ramires, Ivorian and Arsenal winger, Gervinho, ex-Tottenham midfielder Paulinho, Senegalese and former Newcastlee striker, Demba Ba and Ghanian and ex-Sunderland attacker, Asamoah Gyan among others.
Mikel, who underwent a medical on Thursday, will reportedly earn £140,000 a week.
The 29-year-old spent 11 years at Chelsea during which he won the Champions League, two Premier League titles and four FA Cups.
