Ifeanyi Dike, the suspected ritualist, who escaped from police custody in Port Harcourt after he abducted, raped and killed 8-year-old girl, Victory Chikamso, offered each member of the vigilante group that arrested him N400,000 each, the victim’s father, Mr. Ernest Nmezuwoba said.

Dike, a 200 level Physics student of the University of Port Harcourt, was arrested by a Vigilante group. He was caught in the middle of the night at Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State where he perpetrated the dastardly act while he was about to disposed off the body of his victim after removing the organs.
The vigilante turned him in to the police in whose custody he escaped.
“He was carrying a sack containing my daughter’s body when the vigilance team caught him. He attempted to escape but he was apprehended. He promised to give each member of the group N400, 000. but they rejected the money and called me around 1am. One of them had seen my wife when she was screaming over the missing of Victory,” Nmezuwoba narrated.
Meanwhile the Rivers State Police Command has dismissed the Investigating Police Officer in charge of the case, Johnbosco Okoroeze, for allegedly aiding Dike’s escape.
Okoroeze was also arraigned before a chief magistrate’s court on two counts bordering on obstruction of justice and conspiracy, was remanded in custody for the alleged offences.
