Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, has alleged that activist Aisha Yesufu is crossed with him because she didn’t win the party’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial slot.
Orijoreporter recalls that Yesufu defected to NDC alongside her close ally Peter Obi who went on to pick the party Presidential ticket. On her part, her ambition to be the party’s flag-bearer for FCT senatorial district was unsuccessful as she lost to Amanda Pam.
Subsequently the activist made uncomplimentary remark about Dickson saying of the latter’s interview on Arise TV: “Your first one-on-one interview after the primaries, and instead of selling your candidates and giving confidence to people on how set the road to winning the 2027 election was, you made it about yourself.”
While reacting to the ongoing crisis within the party, Dickson said the party made fruitless efforts to pacify Yesufu for the loss by offering her House of Representatives ticket but she declined the offer and said the Green Chamber beneath her.
“We offered Aisha Yesufu a House of Representatives ticket, but she said it was too small for her,” Dickson narrated.
