The Edo State House of Assembly has passed a benefit bill to award a residential building worth N200million and a pension for life at a rate equivalent to 100 per cent of his last annual salary for the immediate past governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Other benefits the Assembly approved at a plenary on Wednesday for Oshiomhole include, an officer not above salary grade level 12 as special assistant, and a personal secretary not below grade level 10.
The lawmakers also approved a pension benefit of a residential building not worth more than N100 million for Oshiomhole’s former deputy, Pius Odubu. 100 per cent of Odubu’s last annual salary was equally approved for him as pension and free medical treatment for him and his immediate family.
Oshiomhole and Odubu on November 12, 2016, completed two tenures of eight years as governor and deputy governor of Edo State respectively.
