Air Peace has sounded the alarm over a suspected fraudster allegedly masquerading as one of its customer service representatives and targeting unsuspecting passengers.
The airline warned customers and members of the public to beware of an individual using phone number 09074904301 to respond to enquiries while falsely presenting himself as an authorised Air Peace representative.
In a disclaimer issued on Wednesday and signed by Osifo Whiskey on behalf of the airline, Air Peace declared that the phone number has no connection or authorisation from the airline.
The airline urged customers to treat any call, message or other communication from the number as suspicious and avoid engaging with the alleged impersonator.
Passengers were particularly warned not to hand over personal information, financial details or flight booking information to the individual.
Air Peace said fraudsters could use such information to deceive customers, compromise bookings or potentially defraud unsuspecting passengers.
The airline urged customers seeking assistance to use only its verified communication channels, including its official accounts on X, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as its official website.
Air Peace also called on members of the public to remain vigilant, stressing that it would continue taking steps to protect its customers from fraudsters and online impersonation.
The airline thanked its customers for their vigilance and urged them to help expose suspicious activities by relying only on verified Air Peace platforms for enquiries and support.
