The controversy surrounding the cause of the death of one Mr Tagbo Umeike, the deceased friend of Davido, between Monday night and Tuesday morning, continues, as latest report claimed he died of alcohol poisoning.

According to medical definition, alcohol poisoning is consequence of drinking large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time. And sometime drinking too much too quickly can affect breathing, heart rate, body temperature and gag reflex and potentially lead to a coma and death.
Tagbo’s bereaved girlfriend, former actress, Caroline Danjuma, had insinuated that Davido played a part in his(Tagbo’s) death, a claim the singer subsequently denied, saying Tagbo was not with him when his death occurred.
Latest report circulating, said Late Tagbo was involved in a friendly wager among his friends at Shisha Lounge. It said they agreed that anyone who drank fifty shots of tequila, an alcoholic drink would win N200,000.
A challenge Tagbo took up, it was said that he initially passed on after taking 10 shots on the spot but later regained consciousness a bit. Eventually, he died at bar beach in the car where the group left for after leaving Shisha Lounge.
Caroline, has however, faulted the report.
“Tagbo cannot drink even a glass of Hennessey because he has a light brain like me . So a guy who cannot drink this much cannot finish 50 shots of tequila..Tagbo does not need 200k to do that.
“He comes from a very wealthy background so he does not need that kind of bet,he is not hungry for that.I was shattered to hear such a news,I went into my office and sat down,” she told SDK.
