A 20-year-old primary school teacher, Collins Obi, has been arrested for having anal sex with his pupil, a 10-year-old boy in Ibadan.

Obi’s arrest was on Wednesday made known by the Oyo State Police Command through its Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu.
Ajisebutu said the suspect, an extra-mural class teacher to the victim committed the offence on November 5 at Asaka Itamaya area of Ibadan.
He said after committing the alleged sodomy, Obi threatened that misfortune would befall the boy if he divulged what transpired between them to anyone.
However, the little boy dared to tell his mother, who in turn reported the matter to police at the Iyaganku Police Station, Ibadan.
“Detectives from the station arrested the suspect in his hideout after the victim’s mother reported the case and during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, and said he was introduced to the act by an older friend, who is now at large,” Ajisebutu narrated.
