Three persons identified as Caleb Alot, Ms. Mercy Achi and Ms. Charity Bahago Dyaji have reportedly lost their lives in a fatal road accident along the Kaduna–Kachia Highway in Kaduna State.
The victims were said to have died in the crash, which occurred around Makyali village in Southern Kaduna, throwing their families, associates and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into mourning.
The incident was also confirmed by the PDP leadership in Kaduna State, which announced the death of three of its officials and members in the accident.
Dr Sale Pashi, Chairman of the PDP Chairmen Forum, Zone 3, Kaduna State, announced the tragedy in a statement on Wednesday, November 4.
According to reports on the statement, those involved included Comrade Caleb I. Lot, the PDP Secretary in Jema’a Local Government Area, and Comrade Comfort, the party’s women leader, alongside other members.
Three people, including the Jema’a LGA secretary, reportedly died at the scene of the accident.
Pashi described the incident as one of the darkest and most painful moments for Jema’a Local Government Area, the party’s Zone 3 leadership and the entire PDP family in Kaduna State.
He said the deceased were committed party members whose contributions, sacrifices and dedication to the growth of the party would remain unforgettable.
Their deaths, he added, represented an irreplaceable loss, particularly at the grassroots level, where they had played important roles in the party’s activities.
The PDP chairman also expressed sympathy with the bereaved families, describing the tragedy as a painful reminder of the fragility of human life.
