A man claiming to be the uncle of late gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as ToluwaniSings, has called for an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.

The man, identified as Lawal Ademola, made the appeal during an interview with Dunmininu Kingdom, shared on Facebook on Monday.

He urged the government, community leaders and law enforcement agencies to ensure that the investigation was conducted without bias, victimisation or interference.

Ademola warned against attempts to shield anyone from scrutiny or conceal information that could help establish what led to the singer’s death.

He appealed to authorities to enforce the law and allow investigators to carry out their duties without interference, saying the incident had deeply affected the family.

In a separate video, the man recounted his visit to ToluwaniSings’ residence, where he said he met some family members watching television.

He also spoke about a disagreement over the late singer’s burial arrangements, revealing that he had proposed burying him at the house where he lived with his wife and children.

According to him, the singer’s wife opposed the suggestion, explaining that she would find it difficult to see her husband’s corpse at the residence daily, particularly with their children around.

Ademola said the disagreement continued when other relatives suggested taking the body to Ikirun for burial. However, he claimed that the wife also rejected the option, describing the location as too far away.

The man referred to the late singer as Sodiq, his birth name from his Muslim family background.

ToluwaniSings’ death has continued to generate public interest, with questions being raised about the circumstances surrounding his final hours.

OrijoReporter had earlier reported that the singer’s family confirmed his death on October 14, 2026. Reports also emerged alleging that he was taken to eight hospitals before he died.

The uncle’s call for an impartial investigation adds to the calls for clarity over the circumstances surrounding the gospel singer’s death.
