Zenith Bank Plc is taking its flagship technology showcase to the virtual world for the first time, opening its sixth annual Tech Fair to a wider audience as artificial intelligence (AI) takes centre stage.

The event, tagged Zenith Bank Tech Fair 2026: Future Forward 6.0, is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026, with the theme, “AI: Embrace or Extinct.”

The theme challenges individuals, businesses and organisations to embrace the growing influence of artificial intelligence or risk being left behind in an increasingly technology-driven world.

For the first time since its inception, the Tech Fair will be held virtually, allowing technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, young innovators and industry leaders to participate from across Nigeria and beyond without geographical barriers.

Conceived by Zenith Bank founder, Jim Ovia, the initiative is designed to nurture young Nigerian talents, encourage technological creativity and support the development of home-grown innovations capable of competing on the global stage.

Over the years, the fair has evolved into a major platform for showcasing emerging technologies, connecting innovators with opportunities and exploring the future of Nigeria’s digital economy.

Its impact is reflected in the success of previous participants, whose innovations have addressed challenges in different sectors.

JumpnPass, one of the past winners, developed a self-checkout solution for retail businesses, while CreditChek deployed artificial intelligence and open banking technology to simplify credit verification.

At the 2025 edition, TrustLoop emerged winner of the hackathon with its digital identity verification solution, while Cubbes Technologies clinched the startup pitch competition with an AI-powered educational technology platform.

Through prize money running into millions of naira, alongside mentorship and other forms of support, Zenith Bank said the initiative continues to help promising innovators develop practical solutions to real-life problems.

This year’s edition will focus on the expanding role of AI in business, employment and everyday life, offering participants an opportunity to explore emerging technologies, exchange ideas and gain insights into innovations shaping the future.

The virtual event will be accessible through Zoom, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

Interested participants can register through www.zenithbank.com/techfair to join the event and explore the opportunities presented by artificial intelligence.
