Popular skit maker and actor, Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his silence months after a reported shooting incident in Ogun State forced him away from the public eye.
The comedian has largely remained out of the spotlight since the incident, leaving fans wondering about his condition and eagerly awaiting his return.
But in a message to his fans on his WhatsApp channel, Broda Shaggi finally opened up about his prolonged absence, thanking supporters who continued to stand by him despite the silence.
He admitted that he had been unable to connect with his fans as much as he wanted, but said their loyalty and support had helped him through what appeared to have been a difficult period.
“To everyone who’s still here waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you,” he wrote.
The skit maker, however, declined to reveal details of what he has been through, suggesting that he was not yet ready to speak publicly about the experience.
“I wish I could tell y’all everything right now but I can’t. Not yet,” he said.
Broda Shaggi also appeared to signal that his long-awaited comeback may be closer than fans expect, promising to return stronger and make up for lost time.
“I’m hoping that day comes soon. And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time,” he wrote.
He ended the emotional message by thanking his fans for refusing to give up on him.
“Thank you for staying. Thank you for being patient with me. Thank you for still being here,” he added.
The message is his strongest indication yet that he is preparing to return to the entertainment scene after months away, although he has kept the details surrounding his reported shooting incident and subsequent absence private.
